This policy explains what Yakkafy collects, why, and what we do with it. Yakkafy is operated from Burnie, Tasmania, Australia.

What we collect

When you create an account we collect your email address and a hashed password. When you run a scan we store the business type, town/search areas, and any website URL you enter, together with the results we generate. When you pay, our payment processor (Stripe) handles your card details — we never see or store card numbers; we receive only a confirmation, your email, and a customer reference.

How we use it

We use your email to send the reports you request and, for paying subscribers, scheduled report updates. We use scan inputs to produce your results and to improve the accuracy of our search-demand data. We use payment confirmations to unlock the features you've paid for.

Aggregated data

Search-volume and competition figures generated during scans may be retained in aggregated, de-identified form to build and improve our local search dataset. This aggregated data is not linked to you personally.

Third parties we share data with

We rely on service providers to operate Yakkafy: Stripe (payments), Resend (email delivery), and search-data providers used to generate your report. They receive only what's needed to perform their function. We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention

We keep your account and scan history while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and associated personal data at any time by emailing us.

Your choices

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. You can unsubscribe from scheduled report emails at any time. To make a request, contact us at the email below.

Security

Passwords are stored hashed, payments are handled entirely by Stripe, and the site runs over an encrypted connection. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
